Hej Morten
Du må altså nøjes med en kort skriftlig hilsen jeg når det simpelthen ikke inden søndag
Min hilsen er her rigtig god fornøjelse
Der anthropologist
My name is Klaus Markmann. I am curator and head of department at Odder Museum – which is part of the larger Moesgård Museum. Odder ( Mortens hometown) is situated 20 kilometers south of Aarhus in eastern Jutland. There are circa 20.000 inhabitants in the municipality. Here at the museum, our area of work and responsibility is recent history in this geographical area. I happen to be an anthropologist by training even though I¹ve been more into the field of history for years.
Morten called med some time ago and talked to me at length about the project you are about to embark on today. It sounds really thrilling and exciting and I am super curious about what will happen and what you will come up with.
However I am still not quite sure I understand the project in depth but I am dam sure I can¹t picture the result at all!
And that¹s a bit angst provoking for at curator as you can imagine. Especially since I have committed the museum to exhibit your final creation here in Odder
I don¹t think I ever have embarked on an exhibition-project without having at least some kind of ideas or mental images of the result. Not this time however. I can also worry about how our usual audience will welcome a strange and experimental anthropological/art project like this.
So, as you can tell, the stakes are high and I am very anxious to see what you will come up with. Don¹t let med down J
I wish you all a very pleasant stay, good times and productive work
Kind regards
Klaus Markmann Jensen
